Afternoon Host/Programming Assistant
Kelowna’s # 1 Radio Station; The NEW 103-1 Beach Radio, has a rare opening in an exciting role. We are looking for a superstar Afternoon Host who is ready to work hard and win with the fastest growing radio station in the history of the Okanagan. The Ideal candidate will be able to contribute on the air as well as work behind the scenes.
On the Air: You must be authentic, relatable, energetic and a Master of Planning. You should be prepared to fluently connect with our passionate audience on social media, text, phone and in-person. You should also thrive on hosting sales remotes and have passion for 80s and 90s music!
Programming Assistant: You are highly organized; can manage on air schedules, assist in music department, write imaging, collaborate with sales and promotions to help execute promotions.
- 2 years experience On-air
- 1 year experience in Programming as either an APD, AMD or MD.
- Knowledge of CRTC rules and regulations
- Must be self-motivated and possess ability to work autonomously
- Working knowledge of MusicMaster
- Experience with SoCast, Futuri Post (or similar)
- Experience managing Facebook and Instagram accounts
- Experience scheduling music
- Experience writing imaging
- Experience with Wide Orbit and VoxPro
- Familiarity with The Okanagan
