Do you have the skills and personality to become the next great broadcaster with CKPG News? This is a rare opportunity to establish a career in news and sports broadcasting.
We don’t follow the Canucks too closely. But we do cover the Cougars and the Spruce Kings. We don’t concern ourselves much with the Raptors, but we care about the Timberwolves, the Condors and the Roadrunners. If you’re interested in everything from high school sports to University sports, we want to hear from you.
You’ll be expected to generate great story ideas about local people, be an active participant on social media, accurately gather information, and shoot, edit and present your stories to our audience in a timely fashion. The selected candidate will be offered a permanent – full time position as a reporter/anchor with our radio and television stations in Prince George, BC.
Your qualifications should include:
- A broadcast school diploma or appropriate experience;
- Excellent research, writing and presentation skills;
- Shooting and editing your own stories;
- Being a leader in social media circles;
- Ability to work as a member of a team and on your own;
- A Driver’s License (abstract required for interview).
