TV News Anchor
We’re looking for the next face of news in Prince George, BC’s Northern Capital. CKPG News is seeking experienced journalists as candidates to become our next television news anchor.
You qualify for this position if you’re a demonstrated leader in your newsroom. You’ll need to work with young journalists and be willing to pass along your enthusiasm, knowledge and expertise. You’ll need to understand social media and demonstrate how you’ve used it to support your stories or projects in the past.
As our news anchor, you’ll be expected to be an outstanding citizen of the region and represent our organization professionally in the communities we touch.
Your qualifications should include:
• Five years of experience in a newsroom;
• Strong writing and presentation skills;
• Experience with Final Cut or comparable editing software;
• An ability to deal with tight deadlines;
• An attitude supporting teaching, learning and teamwork;
• A broadcast school diploma or equivalent experience the industry;
• A Driver’s License (abstract required for interview).
