At 3:00pm on Friday, July 29th (and as a kickoff to the BC Day Long weekend), what was “Lite Favourites of Yesterday and Today” officially relaunched as 1075 Kiss FM (CKIZ-FM), Vernon’s BEST Music! The station has an updated lively, energetic sound thanks to a strong playlist focused on familiar core artists.

“We’re committed to playing nothing but the best of the best from the ‘60s to today,” stated Bruce Davis, General Manager of CKIZ-FM. “This is the best music from the artists that strike great memories from our listeners, like the Rolling Stones, Journey, U2 and Michael Jackson, as well as the best new adult contemporary music, like Lady Gaga, Maroon 5, Bruno Mars and Taylor Swift.”

The BC Day long weekend launch was fuelled by ‘The Best 1,075 Songs Ever!’, an event that created instant buzz in Vernon and the surrounding area. In the weeks since, KISS-FM has continued to receive overwhelming praise from both new and existing listeners, as well as clients.

“Key department heads and the management team at 107.5 Kiss FM (CKIZ-FM) did a detailed analysis of the station and concluded that in order to stay current and relevant in the community, it was necessary to rebrand the station” acknowledged Rick Arnish, President of the Jim Pattison Broadcast Group. “Our team has really done a great job and I commend them for their commitment to Total Team Involvement.”

Our local news, as well as regular updates including weather, traffic, sports and extensive community event coverage is what makes keeps our listeners tuned in,” Bruce Davis concluded.

Well-known B.C. business leader Jim Pattison was also on hand on August 4th to formally tour and meet with staff at the recently renovated KISS-FM building, a station he purchased four years ago.
