New Country, 93.7 JRfm, a Pattison Broadcast Group station, captures third country music station of the year honour
(Vancouver, B.C.) — The New Country, 93.7 JRfm audience is entertained by “some of the best broadcasters in the country,” judges of an industry competition have decided. The Vancouver radio station is the 2011 Canadian Country Music Station of the Year, the third year in the station’s 25-year history in which it has received the juried Canadian Country Music Awards honour.
Earlier this year, New Country, 93.7 JRfm was named Station Of The Year at the Canadian Music Week.
“This is the third time that we’ve won the CCMA award, and the second time that we’ve won that award and the Canadian Music Weeks Award in the same year,” said Gerry Siemens, station vice-president and general manager.
The announcement of the station’s program director, Gord Eno, to staff reads: “Congratulations at being some of the best broadcasters in the country.”
